Worship

The Baptist denomination is dominant in Mayaguana, with six churches among the three settlements. Two of the buildings vie for the title of "oldest" – St. John's Baptist Church in Abraham's Bay was established in 1899 and Zion Baptist Church in Betsy Bay was built in 1911. The Church Of God Of Prophecy in Abraham's Bay is the only other denomination here.
