Eleuthera is considered the softball capital of The Bahamas, with competition taking place throughout the island to earn bragging rights at the Nationals. The Island has produced a large number of Softball players that have represented The Bahamas in international competition. The Eleuthera Basketball League has scheduled games from October to April, and includes all basketball teams from the mainland of Eleuthera, plus Harbour Island. Other successes include Basketball players in the NBA and in colleges abroad, and notable Track & Field athletes like Chris Brown. Plus, in Junior League Baseball, a number of players have represented the Bahamas internationally.
